ⅠGeneral Requirement

1.         This evaluation method is to regulate the management of international students and develop the scholarship.

2.          This scholarship is suitable for self funding degree students who have finished one year study in our university.

ⅡHow Much

1. First Class                  RMB  ¥ 12000

2. Second Class              RMB  ¥ 8000

3. Third Class                RMB  ¥ 5000

Ⅲ What are the Requirements

1. Be friendly to China and the Chinese people, observe the law and decrees issued by the Chinese Government, and the regulations set for the international students.

2. Be active in healthy activities for international students, ready to help other students and love the established environment.

3. Diligent in studies with good academic achievement, highly praised by teachers and classmates.

A. Undergraduates

1)        Those who achieve annual academic score of 80 at average can apply for the Third Class Scholarship.

2)        Those who achieve annual academic score of 85 at average can apply for the Second Class Scholarship.

3)        Those who achieve annual academic score of 90 at average can apply for the First Class Scholarship.

B. Master Students

1)        Those who achieve annual academic score of 90 at average can apply for the Third Class Scholarship.

2)        Those who have two publications or one publication is indexed to SCI, EI, ISTP can apply for the Second Class Scholarship.

3)        Those who have two publications indexed to SCI, EI, ISTP, or the degree thesis is approved with Grade “A” during the “Blind Censorship” can apply for the First Class Scholarship.

C. Doctorate Students

1)        Those who achieve annual academic score of 90 at average can apply for the Third Class Scholarship.

2)        Those who have two publications in key journals or one publication is indexed to SCI, EI, ISTP can apply for the Second Class Scholarship.

3)        Those who have two publications indexed to SCI, EI, ISTP, or the degree thesis is approved with Grade “A” during the “Blind Censorship” can apply for the First Class Scholarship.

Ⅳ Application Procedure

1.       Ask for application form from the International Students Affairs office or download from the school’s website and fill it out truly.

2.       The teachers of teaching school should give suggestion on the form, and applicants should hand in the form within regulated time.

3.       Deadline of Application: 15th September every year

Ⅴ Evaluation of Scholarship

1.         School of International Education will check the application form and concerning materials, and will propose a name list according to the above requirement.

2.         The Committee of Scholarship Review will discuss and decide the final scholarship winners and report to the President for consent.

3.         Evaluation Time: 16th September to 25th September every year

4.         Announcement: the result will be announced on notice board of School of International Education, and inform the winner. The winners will be awarded on a ceremony.

Ⅵ The Grant of Scholarship

1．  Students who have been suspended, quitted or finished study, their scholarship will not be granted from next month.

2．   For the school holidays, the scholarship will be granted as usual.

3．  Students who haven’t registered on time or left school without any approval over 10 days, the scholarship will be quitted.

4．  Students with severe illness and need suspension should go back to their country for treatment. The tour fees should be covered by themselves. With approval from School of International Education, the qualification of scholarship of these students could be kept for at most 1 year, but the money will be quitted during the suspension. For other reasons of suspension, the scholarship will be canceled.

5．  Any student who breaks the rules and regulations and gets the punishment, will not have the scholarship. The scholarship will be quitted from the announcement of punishment.

Ⅶ The Committee of Scholarship Review

1.         The Committee of Scholarship Review is consisted of Vice Dean of School of International Education who is in charge of International Students Affairs, concerning experts, tutors and managerial staff.

2.         The Responsibilities of Committee of Scholarship Review:

1)        Review and decide the winners name list.

2)        Accept the dispute, complaint.

3)        Explanation and amendment of this evaluation method.

3.         School of International Education will take charge of the daily routine of the Committee of Scholarship Review.

Ⅷ The Quota of Scholarship Winners

1.         The first place winners will not exceed 4% of the total amount of international students.

2.         The second place winners will not exceed 10% of the total amount of international students

3.         The third place winners will not exceed 15-20% of the total amount of international students
